   You should not take speed dating seriously. Doing this is only to garner some quick excitement. Also, to gain some experience for better relationships. Base line is, have fun when you speed date, but don’t take things too seriously.

   the only thing i know about speed dating is what i saw in the movie "the 40 year old virgin".
   there were tons of tables and the people got to ask each other questions for like 5mins, then switch tables. by the end you got to meet about 20 different people, and you probably wrote down the names and phone numbers of the people you were interested in going out with. It’s good cuz ALL the people there WANT to find a partner, and you get to pick and choose people you are interested in. And if someone asks you out, you know a little about them and can say no. The only bad thing about it is that 5mins is only enough for "first impressions" and SOMETIMES "first impressions" are very wrong. Just use your best judgment.
   The opposite of speed dating could be a blind date, or just meeting people on your own.

   If you have dated in a while its a good way to get back in the swing of talking w/ the opposite sex, flirting, having quick conversations, etc….there’s no real pressure, ……its like like riding a bicycle…..if you haven’t rode in a while….it takes some time getting used to again!
