I’m going speed dating for the first time tonight and I’m really excited about it. Although my friends will tell you I’m a talker and always have something to say, I’m worried nerves will hit and I won’t have something to say

I would start with "have you ever done this before? I’m nervous!"
I find that when I tell the truth as it is, I have nothing to lose. And at the very least I’ll gain a friend and that’s an excellent deal I say.
